MY COMMISSION PROCESS:
After you've decided what you want to commission and filled out a form, you'll be waiting for a direct message from me approving your commission. I will message one of the respective social medias you've given to me in the form. I will make sure to confirm the price, discuss the commission, and answer any questions you may have before sending out an invoice. Once we've discussed the commission fully, I'll send an invoice, and as soon as it's paid you'll be added to my Trello Queue. Please keep an eye out on my social medias to see when I'm sending out approval messages. If my commissions are officially closed again and you haven't received a message, this means you haven't been picked. Please don't be discouraged if you aren't picked that round! There will be plenty more times to commission me.
My Queue:
My queue doesn't have any priority based on order. I typically pick and choose which commissions I'm most inspired to do each work day. This helps me stay motivated and ensure that your commission comes out perfect!
As a side note, I will no longer be posting wips/art on trello. Recently I had someone steal an unwatermarked design straight off my trello to scam others. So to keep everyone's commissions and designs safe, I will not be posting any files there again.
My Work Schedule:
Every work week I try to get at least one commission done a day. If there's a situation slowing me down IRL, then I hope to get at least one commission sketched eac day. I take Friday and Saturday off to spend time with my partner, get groceries, relax, and draw for myself to help keep me motivated!
Monday - Work day
Tuesday - Work day (Sometimes slower than other days)
Wednesday - Work day
Thursday - Work day (Sometimes slower than other days)
Friday - Off
Saturday - Off
Sunday - Work day (Sometimes slower than other days)
Communication may be slow on my days off, but I try to still reply to important messages when I get a chance. Please be patient with me!
Commission Progress Discord Server:
After you've been added to my queue, I will give you a link invite to my private commission Discord Server. This server is made to keep me in contact with all of my commissioners and share wips + finished pieces to ease any concerns on progress. I will also be sharing updates there on delays of any kind so that all my commissioners know whenever I'm unable to work or when work is slow. Joining the server is completely optional, but I highly recommend and encourage it. It helps me keep me from running around from site to site to contact commissioners. You don't have to talk there, but it's nice to have you somewhere I can easily find you. There's more information there about this server once you join!
When Waiting For Me To Start Your Commission:
I usually work on one commission at a time, and finish a commission within a span of 1-5 days, sketch to finish, depending on how large your order is. When you aren't the commissioner currently being worked with, you'll be free to dm me for updates on when I'm planning on starting your commission.
(Please do not spam me or dm me every day for updates! This could result in a refund.)
When asking for an estimate, I will give you a grossly exaggerated estimate to cover any delays I might experience. This time will be extended further than my expectations! This does not mean that is the earliest your commission will be started. In most cases it will be the latest your commission will be started.
For example:
I may have a few commissions I plan to work on before yours, and believe that those commissions should only take up to a week. Just in case I run into issues, I will tell you your commission will be started in two weeks. I still believe it should be started within a week, but I want to give myself some time so I don't exceed the estimate I give you.
This is just an example! Your estimate could very well be way shorter or longer than this.
Keep in mind that this is still an estimation, and depending on circumstances can still be exceeded. You're always free to receive a refund if you don't want to wait so long as you're eligible for one.
When I'm Working On Your Commission:
When I've finally started your commission, I'll send you a sketch for approval. This is the stage ALL commissions types are able to get edits/changes. If you don't like the sketch at all, you're free to let me know and I'll make a new sketch. The previous sketch is free for me to re-use any way I please so long as I change it to no longer look like your character. You are not allowed to use the previous sketch in any way once you decline it, as it is now mine.
(When ordering a custom, I will also send you a concept palette along with your sketch. If you've paid extra for extensive changes, I will also include a concept headshot doodle along with the sketch + concept palette)
Please speak up during this phase about the changes you want done! I'm more than happy to do changes to ensure your commission is coming out they way you want it to. This is within reason though. Please do not ask me to do hours of changes and edits without any intention of actually wanting those changes. If I feel you're doing this and overworking me just "for fun" I will most likely ask for a fee before continuing, or I'll decline your commission and refund you after a warning.
After you've approved the sketch for me to continue working, I'll begin the lineart!
There are a few different processes after the sketch is approved depending on whether or not you paid extra for extensive changes.
Normal Commission (Art):
I will not be sending a WIP of the Lineart if I haven't gone astray from the sketch. I will go straight into coloring and finishing the artwork. Once the artwork is finished, I'll send you a final look. I will not be doing changes unless I've made a mistake of some kind! Some examples of those mistakes are: I didn't draw a certain marking correctly, used wrong color, Missed a spot, etc. I will be happy to fix any mistakes necessary! I can also change backgrounds if requested. I will be allowing changes on detailed backgrounds you paid extra for, and will likely send wips throughout the process to make sure it's coming out to your liking.
Extensive Changes (Art):
Once the linework is finished, I will be sending wips for approval and changes. Again, I'm happy to do any changes necessary within reason! Once approved, I will go on to coloring the artwork. I might send questions and wips periodically to make sure everything is coming out correctly. Once coloring is done, I will send a final wip to get approved and do final changes. If you've bought extras (shading, BG, etc.) I will be doing the same process for those. I will send wips and do changes accordingly until the piece is entirely finished.
Normal Commission (Custom):
Just like normal art commissions, I will not be sending a WIP of the Lineart if I haven't gone astray from the sketch. If I've added any changes, then I will send you wips to get approval on them. Other than that, I will not be doing changes and will continue on to coloring. Once I've finished coloring, I will do minor changes to the design. Examples of minor changes: Getting rid of stripe patterns somewhere, changing teeth and eye color, changing horn color, changing tail markings, changing claw + paw pad colors, etc. I will not be doing major changes! If you wish to have major changes done, you're free to pay the extensive changes fee if requested.
Disclaimer: This process does not count towards sketch customs! Please see sketch customs on the custom pricing page to learn about their process.
Extensive Changes (Custom):
This process is much like the Extensive Changes for art commissions. I will be sending a wip of the lineart for changes + approval, and will be sending wips and questions periodically as I work on coloring and designing your character. I might send you wips here and there for you to choose from/critique to help me design your character. Once I'm finished with the design, I will send them over for final looks and changes! I'm happy to do major changes throughout this entire process. Major changes include: Change in body type, Complete pattern change, Color palette changes, Changing ears/limbs/snout, changing tail type, etc. I'm happy to do changes as needed through this process so long as you aren't telling me to strip most of the design and change it completely after sketch approval. If you end up wanting a completely different design, then I'll have to make you an entirely new custom and I'll be keeping the previous custom I made you to either keep, sell as an adopt, gift to a friend, etc. You will not have any rights towards that previous character design as I will now own it and you cannot change your mind about wanting a new design once you've requested it. So please make sure you think about your decision before requesting me to make you a different design and to scrap the old one.
Disclaimer: Extensive Changes is not something you can order with a sketch custom.
Please keep in mind that my work may take a while, and it also depends strongly on your replies/presence for me to continue. Unless you specifically request for me not to show you wips or ask for changes, your commission may take longer than expected without any replies on your end. Please be patient with me, and do not rush me. If you need your commission at a certain time, you must pay me a rush fee.
